BECAUS I OWN THE STUPID DOMAIN, SPENT 2 HOURS CREATING JUST ONE PAGE FOR IT AND UPLOADED WHAT I NEEDED TO UPLOAD... AND IF I DONT HAVE PERMISSION OR AUTHORIZATION, WHO DOES?!?!?! lol....

well.................................... i guess all will become apparent some day but i'd appreciate any tips along the way...

Without knowing what sort of OS your webhost is running, I can only speculate on the problem.

It sounds to me that you have not set the permissions for yoru files correctly.
On a UNIX system (or Linux or any ofthe other UNIX-like OSs), files are usually set to 500 by default (Owner may change read or delete, no one else may do anything.). You need to give "Everyone" the option to read and possibly execute your files.

Again, without seeing the software invloved I can't begin to tell you how to do that.

phew... you know what? it was soooooo stupid.... my index saved as index.htm instead of index.html... as SOON as i changed it and went through the awful process of re-saving and re-uploading... as index.html, it was cured!!!!! YAY!!! thanks for the help though.... :-) very appreciated :-)

i've been spending the last couple of hours tweaking it. =)
